Autodesk shows commitment to additive manufacturing in aerospace, defense, and space

We are pleased to be an associate sponsor of the Additive Manufacturing for Aerospace, Defence and Space event, being held in London on 22nd – 23rd February 2017, which aims to present and discuss the performance gains that using additive manufacturing in aerospace, defence and space can provide.

This high level event brings together over 120 delegates from the major corporations in the industry, including Airbus, Boeing and Lockheed Martin. The event incorporates a conference with an exciting speaker line-up and an exhibition area for delegates to explore and discuss the latest additive manufacturing solutions.

Our very own Ulf Lindhe and Ajith Narayanan from the Autodesk Netfabb team presented to a packed room on day 1 of the conference, talking about realising competitive separation using additive manufacturing. This was met with lots of questions from the audience and created great interest at the booth following the presentation.

Other speakers on day 1 included Airbus, who talked about the industrial challenges of additive manufacturing and the opportunities for the future. There was also a panel discussion with industry leaders making this a great forum for discussion for all thought leaders in the industry. The conference on day 2 focuses on defense and space, including a presentation on the additive initiatives taking place within NASA and a speaker from the European Defence Agency outlining the benefits additive manufacturing has for them.
